Stephen Badenhop

Stephen is a brand expert specializing in consumer products and corporate brand communications. He is a principal of RBC Hop Communications. Prior to starting a consulting practice, Stephen was President of Arnold McGrath Worldwide in New York, a $500 million global communications company. Current and past clients include Allied Domecq, AT&T, Bermuda Tourism, Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, Corporate Angel Network, GlaxoSmithKline, Hasbro, ING Financial, National Osteoporosis Foundation, Nestle, Novartis, Philips, Procter & Gamble, United States Tennis Association and Welch's.

Recent engagements: Stephen is the brand consultant for GlaxoSmithKline's alli, the first and only OTC weight loss brand to be approved by the FDA. Stephen named the brand, worked with BrandTaxi to design a winning logo and visual system and was architect of the brand's launch strategy. alli is the largest and most successful Rx-to-OTC switch in a decade and was named by Advertising Age as one of the Top 50 marketing successes and by TIME magazine as one of the Top 10 medical breakthroughs.

Stephen's speaking engagements include, A Case for Restoring Mature Brands to Health, presented to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of GlaxoSmithKline. He has conducted seminars on consumer behavior and branding at Emory‘s Roberto C. Goizueta Business School, Berkeley College, GlaxoSmithKline and Roche Pharmaceuticals.
